Janette Harvey

(Susan) Janette Harvey is a proud West Virginia Mountaineer who moved to Asheville, NC from Williamsburg, VA in 1999 to be closer to her daughters and grandchildren. Janette handles the administrative details for Sharon Decker, founder of The Tapesty Group. Janette and Sharon met in Asheville at The Institute at Biltmore where Janette was Office Manager and Sharon was Chair of the Board of Directors. In January 2005, Janette moved to Rutherfordton to help Sharon manage the day-to-day operations of The Firehouse Inn. Along with helping launch The Tapestry Group, Janette is a member of the Rutherford County Tourist Development Board.

Childhood Dream: I always wanted to join the navy so that I could travel the world.

Greatest Joy in Life: Having Wayne in my life, my daughters Erin and Courtney, and my five beautiful grandchildren.

Chocolate/Vanilla: Always chocolate!!! Even on apple pie. Once you taste it you'll never eat pie with vanilla ice cream again.

Fun Fact About Yourself: I feel I may come across as being very proper or stuffy, but I love to share a good joke and laugh till my stomach hurts.

Favorite Thing About Working at Tapestry: The sharing of life experiences and events with Sharon, Stetson, and Susan. I should really start going by my first name, Susan. Then we would be the 4 S's.
